Thursday, January 28th

Life Science:  Periods 1-3, 7
Have students turn in notebooks, create period stacks at the front of the room under the front white boards, they are due today and will be graded for completeness.  They will need to turn in the Classwork questions today, using Chapter 19 have them answer these seven questions:

1.  What are 4 causes of damage to the environment discussed in Chapter 19?  List each one and then describe what the problem is.
2.  Why is biodiversity important in the ecosystem?
3.  Explain the difference between renewable resources and nonrenewable resources, give three examples for each.
4.  Why are algal blooms dangerous?
5.  What are some examples of indoor pollution?
6.  How and why does desertification occur?
7.  What did you learn about human impacts on the environment?  What did you not know before reading and skimming through the Chapter?

Turn in the classwork, handwritten on paper to back turn in trays.  Please have them use the rest of the time to work on their Digital Zoo Videos, directions are in red on the Digital Zoo Videoscript document.  Do all three parts and work on this for homework, videos are due on Friday.

Have them take out the Digital Zoo Video Script from their Digital Zoo folder in Ebackpack.  Notice that the filming directions are in Red the writing directions for the Script were in black.  Work on your videos today during class, if done early work on the Work Log #2 and the Planning  your Learning Journey document that is due on Friday!!!
