Core Ideas Class:  Today's classwork was page 59 Warm-up and then we worked on the Make a Baby Genetic Traits activity.  We will finish this on Monday and also create the drawings.  Whatever you did not finish is NOT homework, we will continue after the break!

EXTRA CREDIT:  Create a Punnett Square problem similar to the format from our PUNNETT square problems in our science notebook.

You need to have two 8x11.5 size papers on the construction paper glued on and they need the following:  First paper has a written punnett square problem that needs to be solved.  Use the language for genotypes like homozygous, heterozygous, dominant and recessive.  Make the story creative and interesting, determine the dominant and recessive alleles.  Draw a picture of the problem.

Page two:  1. Write out the cross between the parents.
2.  Draw a Punnett Square and work out the boxes with genotypes.
3. Write the genotype % and use proper vocab and letter combinations.
4.  Write out the phenotype % and explain dominant and recessive traits.
5.  Answer any questions you asked in your original Punnett Square problem.

You are creating your problem, showing that you understand the Punnett Square and making your poster visually interesting and attention getting.

good luck, email me if you have Questions, all EC is due on Monday, the day we return in your specific period!
