Wednesday, October 5th

Today in class we worked on our posters and finished the diagrams and explanations to show what we know about the answer to this question:  "How does energy in an ice cube change as it is heated?"

Teams were trying to explain the energy, molecules in motion, temperature ideas and phases of water that help explain the idea of energy and energy transfer in the ice cube.

We did peer review in some periods, tomorrow we will finish reviews, edits and turn in the group work for a group grade as we "show what we know".

As for  the textbook download, go to Ebackpack, General info folder, click on the red icon for the 6th grade MBMS file.  This should allow you to download the textbook, open this into another APP and chose iBooks if you have it, if not save it to Notability APP.  The scan would not work but you need a scanner for the restroom check in and check out for the Bathroom pass!

Tonight's homework:  Read Chapter 2, sections 1 and 2 on Heat/Energy and Specific heat capacity.  The quiz is on Friday, you may take one single side page of notes on regular 8 1/2 x 11" paper that is turned in on Friday after the quiz. Notes must be handwritten, and MAY BE USED ON THE QUIZ!  If you have any questions please ask me tomorrow or email me tonight!  Thanks, Mrs. S!
