Students in class started the new topic of Human Impacts.  We did the Bellringer for 12/7/16 on page 45 of the notebook and then discussed causes of Global Warming and what Human impacts were made or that we knew about.  The video we watched is linked below:

Please make sure page 46 has "My Reaction to Chasing Ice" written up on the top of the page, and underneath it please answer the following "What if?" Questions for homework.  I will be checking homework off tomorrow in class and page 46 should be complete.  You should write 2-3 sentences minimum for each question below, be thoughtful and do your best to make accurate predictions, we will discuss this tomorrow in class.)

1.  What if the Earth warmed up by 1 degree? (hypothetically explain what you think would happen to the Earth, what would change?)

2.  What if the Earth heated up by 6 degrees? (hypothetically how would this impact us and what would happen to us? other species? the environment in general?  the oceans?  the polar ice caps?)

3.  What can we as humans do to help the situation? (decrease global warming)
