Period 2,3, 5-7
Today in class we discussed the parts of the neuron and the importance of the divisions of the brain.
Classwork was to complete the concept map on one side of a blank piece of paper, the other side we drew the neuron and we colored and labeled the parts of the neuron. The three descriptions we needed to write out were about the function of the cell body, dendrites and the axon.
Start homework from Ebackpack. Grab the Nervous system Quiz Studyguide from the Chapter 17 folder and complete as you read the DIGITAL textbook in ibooks. You will need to fill in the answers as you go, they do not need to be complete sentences.
Period 4
Today we discussed the mnemonic device to remember blood flow. We used these sentences:
Very Cute RATs Require Very Pretty Apples
Lovely Piggy Visits LA Because Las Vegas Attracts Bears
We then started notes and discussion about the three blood vessels and the two different circulatory systems in the body: pulmonary and systemic circulation.
