Periods 1-3, 5-7: Today in class you need to review what determines different Blood types and how to perform a Blood type test. You will work out the problem of the crime scene investigation and figure out what happened. Draw out what happens when the anti-serums are added to blood samples and make conclusions as to what blood type they are. Keep in mind if an anti-serum clumps and reacts with the blood, it indicates the blood contains that antigen. If I use anti-A serum in the blood, stir it with the toothpick and it reacts and creates clumping, the blood type has A protein. If I use anti-B serum in the blood, stir it with the toothpick and it reacts and creates clumping, the blood type has B protein. If I use anti-Rh serum and it reacts the blood type is +, if it does not react it would be a - blood type.
