Wednesday, May 21st

Out today, Matteo has a fever!  So, the show must go on for dissecting...

Period 1-3, 5-7:
Here are your guides to follow:  You will first observe, find parts, take a photo, and draw your outside heart view called the external view.  Next you will cut open the hearts to explore the four space inside called the heart chambers.  The valves are the parachute-like looking structures inside between the atria and ventricles.

Follow this guide:

Videos to assist you in dissecting: Note when they say auricle they mean atrium, plural for atrium is atria.  They are small bag like structures, the ventricle are muscular chambers for pumping blood.

Use the guide and the videos to walk you through it and do your best!  I will be back when I can!

Period 4:  Today in class you will be working in the new book, go to Ebackpack and load the Digital textbook PDF file.  We will start with reading the first section about the cardiovascular system  When you get to the first set of five review questions stop and take out a piece of paper to write out all 5 questions and answers.  Then at end of chapter find the 10 vocab terms and start definitions.  This should be a good introduction to the new textbook, play around with the videos and watch them to help you with the new concepts...what do you think so far???

No homework tonight, we will see where we are at tomorrow! :)
