First watch this video about muscles.  The following questions need to be answered in your Chapter 7 that we are adding to your CBB.  For now just type these answers to the following questions in a Pages document!

Copy and paste the questions, and fill in the answers as you watch the video.

1.  What are the three types of muscle that exist?

2.  What are the two types of fibers that are working in the muscles all the time?

3.  Where would we find cardiac muscle?

4.  Are skeletal muscles voluntary or involuntary? How do you know?

5.  What are the two rules when it comes to muscle contraction?

6.  What are the two molecules that muscle cells want?

7.  What is the purpose of mitochondria?

8.  Give a summary of how the filaments slide past one another to get the muscles to contract and shorten and cause movements.

When finished work on finding a video that is about 1 minute or less that explains how the muscle works and shows the sliding filaments.  You will need the URL for your Chapter 7.

Create a Chapter 7.

Make a heading  THE MUSCULAR SYSTEM.

List the questions and answers.

Make a heading HOW DOES A MUSCLE CELL CONTRACT.

ADD VIDEO.

ADD A PARAGRAPH, Write SUMMARY:  then summarize the video under this section.

ADD  a Chapter 8.

Add a heading THREE TYPES OF  MUSCLE.

Add three pictures of the skeletal, smooth and cardiac muscles.

Tomorrow we will be looking at cardiac muscle in the HEART!
