Today in class, you and a partner from your table group will work on coloring your Mitosis drawings and keeping the colors consistent for all 36 images. Keep the chromosomes/DNA the same color, the cytoplasm, the outline of the cell membrane, and the spindle fibers and asterisk shaped centrioles. The images should continue the same colors so that filming makes the cells progress and "move" as if they are alive.
Step two: cut out images. They had squares around them, but with the xeroxing I think the box outline is gone! You can cut out box shapes around all 36 pictures.
Step three: Open up your iMotion App and title a new movie "Mitosis Project". Cick manual setting so you can take the pictures when ready. Stack three books and hang your iPad with the camera lens over the books. Check lighting so that the pictures can be taken easily by placing them on the table. Make sure that the Onion skin feature is turned on by clicking DISPLAY button and then clicking the squares icon for Onion skin feature. Take all 36 images, line up the cell membrane everytime so the finished cell with show the nucleus moving and changing and splitting into two cells.
Step four: Figure out the correct speed...10-15 fps is probably a good setting, then export to camera roll and save it. We will turn them into Ebackpack tomorrow at the beginning of class and I will go over the process of how to turn in your videos again.
Hwk tonight: Make notes and study for your test, read yesterday's blog on where to find the readings if you are unsure!
