Today in class we worked on the review of Meiosis for genetics and the exam. The Chapter 11 test was today, overall average was 79% on the multiple choice portion. The homework tonight is to complete the Ch. 12 workbook and to study for the exam, finish both labs for turn in tomorrow, and to make sure you have completed the DNA transcription and translation packet. We will go over answers tomorrow.
You should have turned in your Ch 11 workbook today and your Offspring/Baby traits lab this morning for grading. The gradebook will be posting grades hopefully by the end of this week!
Today in class we worked on the DNA, Ch. 11 notes and completed the DNA isolation lab with your cheek cell as well as built out DNA licorice and marshmallow models to demonstrate base pairing and transcription of DNA to RNA, which is called transcription. Study tonight, the exam covers 12-1, 12-2, 12-3, and 12-4 tomorrow and has free response on the exam as well.
