STEM/STEAM:
BTS tonight! In class today we worked on learning more about how to engineer stronger, taller buildings and what a structural engineer does. We drew images in our notebook on page 3 titled "Sketches" of the design of the Eiffel Tower, Burj Khalifa, and the Taipei Tower. On page 4 tonight you will create some blueprint ideas for tomorrow's retest of the Spaghetti tower and you will need to be prepared to share some ideas with your teams. I will mix you up and you will be in different groups tomorrow. :)
Do not worry about your online STEM career survey, we are in the middle of getting Chromebooks for the classroom this year to use. I will keep you up to date on the progress of this so we have to put things on hold.
6th Grade:
Today in class we did some Metric system practice in groups. Your metric system homework packet is due tomorrow.
We worked on the science behind the Fortune fish and then we also started the CER in class. We worked on this together in class. Be sure to finish your data/evidence for part II bullet points, we will do all the reasoning in class tomorrow so do not worry about doing this for homework tonight!
