Calculating rocket height using Altimeter device...


First start by looking at your Data from the launches on Friday/Monday:
Next move those right hand column angles into your page 10 Relaunch Analysis form.


Take the tangent of angle number from the chart below and multiply by our 5 meter distances.  We then need to calculate the number for the rocket's height in meters.



Last steps, you need to get the altitude calculator to check how accurate your measurements and calculations were.  We rotate the wheels so that the nose of the rocket points to your angle in degrees, the window under the 5 meter baseline is the estimated height.  Record the numbers into the blanks at the bottom of page 10 in your notebook as your "altitude calculator estimated heights".




More examples to show how to continue on and calculate the Lanches 1- 4 heights! :)



Finish those analysis questions by looking at your data and seeing if you were successful... Questions 1-3 should be discussed as a group to get ideas, but the answers are written in your own words.
