Today in class we started our Bellringers for week 4. On page 11 you should have written the prompt for today 1. What kind of graphs do I know of and why are graphs used in science? Business meetings? in textbooks?
You should have partnered up for a switch and review to make sure the graph had a title, labeled y-axis of Height, y-axis units of meters or feet, labeled x-axis, marked numbers on y-axis, colored bars, and graph was organized and neat.
After peer review you should have edited and fixed the graph and turned it in for a grade. Today you should be working on the Metric system notes in your notebook on page 12.
The first two slides of text about the metric system should be copied into your notebook and are in your EBPack folder Scientific method titled Metric System Powerpoint. On page 13 you should use the powerpoint to read about metric measurement and define the terms length, mass, weight, gravity, volume, density and meniscus.
If you do not finish the notes and vocab it is homework tonight, tomorrow we are revising the CER handout and new copies are due on Friday, stapled to your old copy you wrote.
Questions, email me as I am out at conferences and will be back on Friday for class!
