Happy Valentine's Day!!!  Today in class we linked the Digital Zoo Poster and Videos together.  We will continue to get everyone linked and up and running. This is a work in progress, I will try to have everyone into our channel by the end of the month.  Those that did not have their poster or their video done it is very difficult to help you.  Please get the APP, video and poster ready and we will be able to get you checked off for the project :).

Homework tonight:  Revise your work, then discuss with parent the CER, and get your form signed off by them.  The CER packet is due tomorrow, the order of papers is as follows:

1. Parent signed form
2. Rough draft
3. Student example given to compare and see
4. Final draft of CER

The writing of the CER should have very detailed, and descriptive data.  The reasoning section should have a connection to one of the characteristics of living things. ( organisms are made of cells, need and use energy, respond to environment, grow and develop, reproduce)

The directions to link our posters using the Aurasma App are here below:  We are walking through this today as well!

Students:  

1.  Have a printed poster for your Animal.

2.  Have your movie saved to your Camera roll. (medium size file)

3.  Download the Aurasma APP.

log into Aurasma:  username: sanchezsciencemb  and enter mbmswaves as the password

Click on the + sign in the top right corner

A scanner will pop up, scan your poster, make sure it includes the center of the poster you printed out and that is displayed in the classroom.

It will ask you to create an overlay (link a video to layer and play on top of this image). At top click on Device, select from Photo Album/Camera roll!

Add your video first by selecting + sign then select from your photo album/camera roll

Video should be about 1:30 - 3 minutes in length, too long, it will not upload and you will need to cut the video into two parts!  Part 1 and Part 2

Select your video, it will compress and then be useable.

Name your video.  Fill out and title your project using this formula: Animal - Last Name - Period #

The upload will be completed.

Name your project:   Animal's name - Your Last name - Period #

Click the Public tab, then add to your group channel:  2017 MBMS Digital Zoo

Click Save or Done, do not Share! You are done, need help, come see me!!!!

Parents will be given these instructions later, you can test this out with your iPad by logging out of the class account, then...  

Download the Aurasma APP on your phone or device,

add a channel by searching for 2017 MBMS Digital Zoo and click on the Follow tab at top right corner.

Last scan a poster and then double tap to walk away from poster and view the video!

View and enjoy the video created and the Digital Zoo!
